YOU CAN HELP

All drivers on the road in the winter can help make snow plowing more efficient and safer for everyone.  A list below shows a few things you can do to help out.

1. Follow the winter parking rules (no parking on the street between the hours of 11pm and 7am) and if it’s snowing during the day, please do your best to park your vehicle off the roadway.

2. Safely move over to the shoulder of the road when you encounter an oncoming plow truck this will allow the driver to get the entire travel lane cleared.

3. Stop for plow trucks that are trying to backup or turn around.  This will help the plow truck driver get his work done quicker which means your roads will be cleared sooner.

4. Lastly, if you don’t have to be out during a snow storm, do yourself and the plow crew a favor and stay in where it is warm.

Thank you and have a safe winter.
