Text The Benefits are Endless, We can prove it
Parks & Recreation News

Through many of our program brochures, literature T-shirts, and other promotions, you may have seen the logo, “Parks & Recreation, The Benefits are Endless…..”. The Brewer Parks & Recreation Department has adopted this National Recreation and Parks program along with numerous other departments across the country in an effort to inform our respective communities of the endless benefits that parks and recreation provides. Recreation can increase community pride, build self esteem, build family unity, create memories, and offer social interaction. Numerous programs offered by the Brewer Parks & Recreation department provide proof of those benefits. Whether it’s walking in the auditorium on a cold winter day, participating in youth art classes, enjoying our after school program or summer day camp activities, swimming in the municipal pool on a hot summer day, or having fun with senior aerobics, recreation truly provides outstanding benefits.

Parks can help protect the environment, increase property value, and help make you healthier, happier, and less stressed. Citizens of Brewer need look no further than the Maple Street Park Complex as a perfect example of how parks can be beneficial. What once used to be a dump site for years, is now a beautiful site that provides for walking, baseball, soccer, and roller blading. Property values adjacent to the park have increased along with a remarkable improvement in the environment.

The staff of the Brewer Parks & Recreation Department encourage all Brewer citizens to take advantage of our parks and participate in our recreation programs. As you can see….the benefits are endless.
