The Finance Department is responsible for the investing, reconciling, and distributing of all City Funds as well as managing the City's debt and borrowing.

The fiscal year (or budget year) of the City begins the first day of July and ends the thirtieth day of June of the following year. The City's ordinances provide for the proposed budget to be submitted to the City Council on or before the second Tuesday of March for the ensuing fiscal year.
