Fee’s Effective August 1, 2010
Permit Fee
1- Year Permit Fee- $2.50 each
Passenger Car and Truck Tires
$3.00- without rims
$5.00- for commercial truck ties without rims
Two tires may be put curbside with the Pay As You
Throw (PAYT) trash each week.
Freon Containing Appliances
$15.00- for refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers,
etc.
Propane Tanks Disposal Charge
$5.00- for 20# tanks
$20.00- for all tanks larger than 20#
The landfill won’t accept any propane tanks less than 20#
Residential CDD Material Disposal Fee
$5.00- passenger cars
$7.00- for station wagons, passenger vans and SUV’s
$25.00- for pickup trucks and small trailers
$50.00- for large dump trailers
$70.00- for dump trucks
$15.00- for box spring and mattresses
($15.00 for mattress as well)
What items are
accepted at the Brewer Landfill?
The following items will be accepted for
disposal at the Brewer Construction Demolition Debris Landfill:
Construction Demolition Debris- debris resulting
from construction, remodeling, repair, and demolition of structures
which includes wood, sheetrock, shingles, insulation, masonary,
discarded furniture, mattresses, asphalt, wallboards, clean soil
materials, brick, inert fill, large children
toys, etc.
What items
are not accepted at the Brewer Landfill?
The following materials will not be accepted at
the City of Brewer Construction Demolition Debris Landfill:
Septage and sludge.
Industrial wastes.
Hazardous wastes, as that term may now or in the future be defined
by federal or state law whichever definition is more
encompassing.
Five gallon or larger drums or
containers unless one end is open and the drums or containers are
cleaned.
Any wastes found to be generated
outside of the municipal boundaries
Motor vehicles.
What items must be separated and located in specific spot at the Brewer
Landfill or taken to another location?
Tires
must be stored in a location designated by the Facility Gate
Attendant. Two tires may be put curbside with the Pay
As You Throw (PAYT) trash each week.
All
recyclables must be recycled at the Landfill or
curbside with the
Zero Sort Recycle Collection program.
Garbage (food waste, market waste, produce waste, cooking waste)
must be placed in
Pay As You
Throw (PAYT) trash.
Universal waste such as televisions,
computers, fluorescent light bulbs, rechargeable batteries, mercury
containing products, ballast must be taken to the
Universal Waste Collection Facility.
Household Hazardous Waste such as pesticides,
herbicides, fuel, oil, kerosene, gas, diesel, equipment tiers medical
waste, chemicals, paint, paint thinner, turpentine, etc.
can be disposed of at the Annual
Household
Hazardous Waste Program (HHHW).
Brush
must be recycled in brush pile.
Scrap Metal must
be recycled in metal pile.
Leaves must be recycled in leaf compost pile.
Leaf Collection
and
Compost Material (Yard Waste)
White Goods and Appliances must be stored in
the area designated by the Facility Gate Attendant.
Propane tanks must be stored on the area
designated by the Facility Gate Attendant
Can Brewer
businesses use the Brewer Landfill?
The
City's CDD Landfill will not accept any waste from any business unless
it is authorized first by Brewer City Council.
