Brewer OKs subdividing plot into 7 sections on Dirigo
Drive
Wednesday, July 13, 2005
The amended commercial
subdivision is located at the Parkway South end of Dirigo Drive and includes the
already built Bangor Federal Credit Union and the Brewer Emergency Veterinary
Clinic.
"It's a nine-lot subdivision, but two of the lots are open space lots that are
primarily wetlands," City Planner Linda Johns said Tuesday.
All seven commercial lots in the Shapero lot subdivision, as the area is known,
have road frontage on Dirigo Drive. There are seven conditions tied to the
planning board's final plan approval, including getting the required Department
of Environmental Protection and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permits.
BEDC, which is a private, nonprofit development agency focusing on job creation,
tax-based growth and city development, also is required to have independent
storm water management studies done when developing the individual lots.
